Paranormal Activity, one of the most profitable film franchises in history, is coming to the world of video games.
It’s called “Paranormal Activity: Threshold,” and it follows an average family that starts to notice disturbing things happening around their home. The game will see the player play in first-person behind a camera, as they explore the home, search for items and try to avoid the entity lurking behind them.
Officials say the game is full of jump-scares, and players should be on the lookout while playing, as the haunting presence will be sure to find you when you least expect it.
“Paranormal Activity: Threshold” is being made by Darkstone Digital, the same developer for games like “The Mortuary Assistant” and “Our Secret Below.” The Paranormal activity series has previously ventured into video games, with a mobile game releasing in 2011 and a VR game releasing in 2017.
The game is slated to release sometime next year, although an exact date has yet to be released.
