Longtime Xbox exclusive Halo, is finally crossing console lines, as Halo Studios confirmed the series will be coming to Playstation.

Both Microsoft and Halo Studios have announced the official remake of “Halo: Combat Evolved,” with the new remake being titled “Halo: Campaign Evolved.” Officials say the new game will expand upon the original campaign, while adding three new prequel levels, and giving gamers the chance to play the campaign with up to four players.

On Friday, Halo Studios community director Brian Jarrard confirmed the move to bring the Halo series to PlayStation during a livestream from the Halo World Championship. Jarrard says the Halo franchise will be a multiplatform series moving forward, and that “Campaign Evolved” will be cross-platform compatible.

The Halo franchise has long be a Xbox exclusive, with the first game appearing on the console in 2001. There is currently no update if former Halo games will also become available on PlayStation in the near future. “Halo: Campaign Evolved” is expected to be released in 2026, but an exact date has still yet to be released at this time.
